OIA Global, a leading worldwide logistics and packaging provider, announced its philanthropic support of Special Olympics Oregon. OIA now provides logistics and warehousing services to support Special Olympics Oregon events.

B.J. Mealy, Director of Sports for Special Olympics Oregon stated, “When we lost our existing storage facility due to a redevelopment project, OIA Global stepped in within days to store seasonal equipment for our golf, track and field, soccer and Nike Youth Games events.” Special Olympics Oregon needed to support its sports programs throughout the year while ensuring safety, quality control and security for its equipment. Of critical importance was flexibility for pick-up and inventory management as events occur throughout the year.

“Our affiliation with Special Olympics Oregon is a key component of OIA Global’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative,” stated Dante Fornari, EVP of Global Logistics. “It is quite an honor to support an organization that contributes so much to our citizens here in Oregon,” Fornari noted. Margie Hunt, CEO of Special Olympics Oregon also recognized the importance of good corporate citizenship and acknowledged OIA Global for its outreach and contributions. “OIA Global is a unique and important corporate supporter of Special Olympics Oregon, and we are very grateful for our partnership,” Hunt said.
